Grete Waitz and Ed Eyestone win Bay to Breakers, which sets a Guinness World record for being the world's largest footrace, with 78,769 registered runners.  Throw in bandits and the number is estimated to be 110,000 runners!

BEST SAN FRANCISCO RUNNING DOCTORS

If you've ever had the misfortune of being injured and sought medical help, then
you know how hard it can be to find a great sports medicine doc. The Turkey was
fortunate to have an excellent orthopedic surgeon fix his knee and calves when they
were out of commission.  In addition, The Turkey's podiatrist & physical therapists
also helped him get back on track--literally, back on the 400 meter track at Kezar!

All of these medical specialists are HIGHLY recommended by The Turkey.

(OK, my docs aren't really in SF proper, but I don't mind travelling for medical care!)
